Teegan Horat

Teegan Horat – 'Frame Brooch' in Brass

$400

This body of work explores memory and its destruction over time. Pieces are purposefully ambiguous for the viewer, to create links to their own memories and invite the possibility of recalling something once thought lost.

Teegan Horat is an artist and jeweller based in Melbourne/Naarm. Alongside traditional jewellery making methods, she eagerly incorporate glass in her work, through the techniques of casting, lamp-working and enamelling.

Her work explores memory and sentimentality through surface, with an interest in the intimate, often overlooked moments and places that appear in our lives - the small, daily rituals we take pleasure in and the places we keep in our hearts. In 2024, she received the Craft Victoria Fresh! Fellowship and Radiant Pavilion Creative Production Mentorship.
