Hand built vase with intricate nerikomi patterning. The Nerikomi series is Tantri Mustika’s exploration of the traditional Japanese clay patterning from which it takes its name. The vessels bring together historical technique and the natural tendencies of the material. Display with your favourite flora or simply on its own as a decorative piece. Please bear in mind that this is a completely hand made product. This means there will be slight variations in texture, finish and size. The nature of the technique used means that no two pieces are alike... making each item unique and one of a kind! But don't we just love that!

Tantri Mustika is a Melbourne-based ceramicist who makes unique and colourful ceramics by incorporating meticulously hand-stained and marbled clays, mimicking characteristics of natural stones. Her interest in the material capabilities of clay can be seen as a catalyst of her practice; producing small batches allows each piece to be unique and one of a kind through the techniques employed.
