Nani Puspasari — 'The Forest’s Whisper' Sculptural Ceramic, 2024
'The Forest’s Whisper' draws on Shigaraki’s ancient ceramic traditions, mountain forests and wood-firing culture, as well as its iconic tanuki (raccoon dog) figures. Layered animals, plants and imagined guardians wrap around the vessel like fragments of memory, connecting childhood recollections with place, clay, fire, folklore and the quiet resilience of renewal.
