Jenny Jones — 'New York', Rug 2024
This handknotted rug designed by Jenny Jones was inspired by Art Deco designs after visiting New York in 2012. Drawing from the city's magnificent buildings and their intricate door designs, this rug captures the essence of the era's elegance and sophistication. With sleek lines and geometric deco reminiscent of the city's skyline, this rug brings a touch of metropolitan glamour to any space and brings in her journey through New York's picturesque streets, lined up with their charming brownstone buildings. It reflects Jenny's favourite period of design including architecture, jewellery and furniture.

Jenny discovered her passion for the art of rug making in 1995 whilst living in Turkey with her young family. Exploring the famous Turkish rug markets, she began hand selecting pieces to bring into Australia. Growing with the movement towards contemporary interior design, in 2001 Jenny became one of the first rug designers in Australia to create contemporary hand knotted rugs. She has since built her business around creating personal connections with clients to find the perfect rug for every project. Her contemporary works and modern day classics reinterpret traditional designs and bring them into the 21st century with the use of sophisticated colour and the highest quality production techniques. Jenny continues to be driven to create stunning bespoke designs and push boundaries in designs. With over 25 years in the industry, collections in the US and Asia, as well as numerous international awards, she continues to be recognised as one of the best contemporary rug designers in the world.
