This iconic Light Chair from Melbourne. Based craftsperson Georgia Szymanski is handcrafted using Silver Wattle and finished in a hardwax oil. A chair, which touches the earth lightly, is an investigation into subtracting material without compromising on strength and function.

Georgie Szymanski is a commission-based furniture studio located in Melbourne, Australia. All pieces are designed and made by craftsperson Georgie Szymanski.
Szymanski’s practice explores object and user encounters through the intersections of furniture, objects and spatial practice. Primarily working with timber and craft processes, her works explore the balance between historical forms and current day functions, informed by traditional methods of cabinet making and technical exploration.

Craft Victoria presents Visionaries 2026, curated by Tali Roth.
Visionaries is Craft’s flagship exhibition series, designed to create meaningful pathways between Australia’s exceptional makers and the wider worlds of design, culture and everyday life.
Tali Roth is the founder and creative director of the award-winning Studio Tali Roth. For Visionaries 2026, Tali has curated an immersive presentation informed by her interior design practice in Australia and internationally.
The exhibition will showcase more than 50 Australian makers and artists, celebrating a bold and playful approach to living with craft.
