Clae Studio — Stacked Vessel (Blue)
A sculptural blue vessel with a layered form consisting of two and a half stacked spheres and a small opening at the top creating a bold silhouette. The blue is inspired by French Artist Yves Klein and acts as a vivid reminder to reflect upon the wisdom of nature. This vessel was part of the group exhibition 'Shaped', 2022.
Clae Studio is the project of artist Britt Neech, based on the Mornington Peninsula. Her sculptural and playful pieces reference art, history and nature. Using minimalistic forms, she creates each piece by hand with careful consideration to the textures and colours of the clay showcasing the intrinsic beauty of the material.
Neech participated in the group exhibitions 'Shaped' and 'Clay Connected' at Craft Victoria, as well as her solo exhibition 'Finding Form' at the Michael Reid Clay Gallery, NSW.
