Clae Studio — Mountain Vessel
A flat sculptural vessel made from mixed recycled clay and part of the group exhibition 'Shaped', 2022. The vessel has a curved top edge that features a single opening at its peak. Inspired by undulating mountain ranges and the grounding feeling of being enveloped by nature.
Clae Studio is the project of artist Britt Neech, based on the Mornington Peninsula. Her sculptural and playful pieces reference art, history and nature. Using minimalistic forms, she creates each piece by hand with careful consideration to the textures and colours of the clay showcasing the intrinsic beauty of the material.
Neech participated in the group exhibitions 'Shaped' and 'Clay Connected' at Craft Victoria, as well as her solo exhibition 'Finding Form' at the Michael Reid Clay Gallery, NSW.
