Celia Dottore — 'Silver Scales' Earrings in Silver
Recycled sterling silver offcuts are used to create 'scales'. With a unique surface texture using a process called reticulation.

Celia Dottore is a jeweller based in Naarm/Melbourne. Working primarily with sterling silver, along with found and collected materials, Celia's practice is largely process driven, allowing the materials to take new form through hand forming and carving techniques. Celia's work explores concepts of memory, ritual, superstition and sentimentality and is often inspired by nature, religious art and philosophy. Through her practice she examines the deeper meanings we attach to body adornment and sacred objects within our daily lives.
Dottore is a Studio Artist at Parslow Street Studio and has exhibited in 'Divine mantras for earthly matters' at FELTspace in Adelaide.
