Casey Chong — 'Skinny Oval Caramel' Plate

The 'Plate Compilation' series is an ongoing collection of ceramic platters exploring the possibilities of form, shape, texture, glaze
and clay body. Each piece is made as an experiment in material and proportion, resulting in a varied compilation of sculptural ye functional objects.  Designed to be used and interpreted in different ways, the platters can serve as a tinker tray, catch-all or a small base for a bonsai or other plant.

No two pieces are quite the same. Each is a record of a particular form, material and moment in the making process.

*Please note due to the nature of the glaze, it can function sculpturally for decorative purposes only (e.g. display, trinket tray, etc.) but is not suitable for food use.
