Billy Horn

Billy Horn — 'Hot Pot' Table Stool, 2024

$2,500
A small statement stool made from premium timber veneers, brass beading, shiny acrylic and soft cork. The veneer segments have been selected from four species of timber and only the loudest and most characterful strips have been chosen. It can hold a pot plant, cuppa tea or notebook, but is best applied as a place to sit.

Billy Horn is a machinist and fabricator operating a workshop in Brunswick where he designs and makes objects for Melbourne’s vibrant art and design industry. Now making his own work, Billy contrasts the serious with the silly, the bright with the dull, the cheap with the premium and the luxurious with the sensible. His focus is on making functional, practical pieces brimming with playfulness - furniture and objects crafted with a wink.
