Billie Civello
Billie Civello — Limb Chair, 2025
The Limb Chair is cast in recycled aluminium from branches collected on walks across Melbourne over the past years. These small acts of gathering give mundanity a sense of memory and sentiment, grounding the work in daily experience. Each branch used to create moulds, preserving its irregular structure before being turned into an undying object through aluminium casting. The work dwells in how quotidian moments can be reworked into objects that carry traces of time, locality, and personal experience.
