Charlotte is a product designer from Bendigo, Victoria. Gold (aurum) was discovered in Bendigo in 1851 and was largely responsible for shaping the city into what it is today. Precious metals, like gold, are nurtured by humans; worn, displayed and celebrated. With their resistance to corrosion, their luster and scarcity they are highly valued. Gold takes billions of years and many natural processes to form and surface, showing us that creating something we value takes time; the process is slow.
