Tara Lofhelm is a Jewellery r based in Naarm/Melbourne, who is deeply passionate about the handmade contemporary jewellery movement. Preferring primitive processes such as stamping and embellishment, her work explores repetition through line, texture and contrast. Lofhelm aims to modernise time-honoured jewellery techniques and, in doing so, create cultural artefacts that preserve the hand of the maker in a definitive, singular moment in time.
Lofhelm has participated in various group exhibitions at Pieces of Eight Gallery and holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts and an Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (Jewellery).
