Bridget Saville — 'Tethered #6' Wall Work Series
—
Bridget Saville is an emerging artist and designer based on Kaurna Country (Tarndanya/Adelaide Plains). Working primarily with clay, Saville incorporates the development of tools and jigs to test and stretch the limits of the material. Saville’s most recent works focus on processes of slab building and extruding clay - creating her own extrusion dies to produce unique forms. She enjoys the physicality of working with clay and is motivated by expressing movement and energy in her work. Saville has a Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons) from RMIT University, Melbourne, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2020.
In 2024 Saville completed a two year Ceramics Associateship at JamFactory, Adelaide where she continues to have a studio as a tenant. Professional highlights include being a finalist of the North Queensland Ceramic Award (2024) and Ikebana Container Award (2024). As well as being the winner of the Interior Design Research Award in her Honours (2020) and a commendation in Object Design at Melbourne Fringe Festival, 2024.
