Sophia Emmett is an artist and jeweller based in Newcastle. In recent years she became interested in making jewellery, enjoying the challenge of designing and making pieces that are intimate and wearable. Her practice has evolved from her innovative approach to materials, combined with a fascination of the relationship between texture and form.
Emmett completed a traineeship at the Jam Factory, Adelaide and studied Visual Arts at Monash University majoring in hot glass.
