Celia Dottore — 'Organic Fold' Necklace in Silver

The Organic Fold necklace is hand pressed, folded and cast in sterling silver. With each form, Celia allows the material and process to guide the outcome of each unique piece. Each piece is unique in form.

Celia Dottore is a jeweller based in Naarm/Melbourne. Working primarily with sterling silver, along with found and collected materials, Celia's practice is largely process driven, allowing the materials to take new form through hand forming and carving techniques. Celia's work explores concepts of memory, ritual, superstition and sentimentality and is often inspired by nature, religious art and philosophy. Through her practice she examines the deeper meanings we attach to body adornment and sacred objects within our daily lives.

Dottore is a Studio Artist at Parslow Street Studio and has exhibited in 'Divine mantras for earthly matters' at FELTspace in Adelaide.
