Christopher Plumridge – Clear Blue Sea Plate with Vessels, 2022

$1,275

Rectangular fully glazed deep sea clear blue plate with 35 ball feet. Unique clear blue fully glazed plate with half spherical ball feet. This plate has educational value as it is designed for easy cleaning as no water residue will remain due to pooling when stacked on its side in the dishwasher. The two small vessels are glazed in deeper shades of blue which reference the ocean and the sea foods to be displayed. The underside of the shape shifting concave vessel is glazed gloss black and references a loud speaker shape as if listening or sounding its source. The white textured glazed surround which provides extra grip is produced from calcined native pacific oyster shells.
