Qianxun Li

Qianxun Li — 'Green Lemon' Sculpture, 2024

$700
In Fruit Series, Li deconstructs and reimagines the life forms of fruit as a process of exploring the contrasts and interactions between materials, revealing the fascinating complexity of organic structures. The works combine Shibuichi metal and oiled paper to recreate the organic shapes of fruit peels and flesh. The metallic “skin” showcases the protective nature and delicate textures of the peel, while the paper captures the hidden traces and ephemeral qualities of the flesh. This contrast in weight and density creates an engaging interplay, inviting viewers to connect emotionally and imaginatively. Through these pieces, Li aim to foster a deeper resonance between humans and nature, encouraging people to discover the overlooked micro-beauty within daily life.
