George Greathead is a Brisbane-based artist and designer whose practice sits between art, design and the everyday. With a background in furniture design and sculpture, Greathead creates functional objects that use humour, curiosity and playfulness to encourage interaction and connection.

Working across bronze, timber and clay, Greathead is drawn to the process of making and the different possibilities each material offers. His work often takes familiar forms and gives them a twist, creating objects that are useful but have personality. At the heart of his practice is a desire to make work that brings a sense of positivity into everyday life.
