Liam Fleming
Liam Fleming — 'Transitory Form #15', 2024
‘Transitory Form’ embody a sense of restraint and refinement that aligns with the transcendental qualities of minimalism. Resting In Colour can be understood as meditations on the physical and metaphoric nature of colour and light.
In this work, colour and glass are one. More specifically, colour is part of the materiality of each object. Colour is not applied as an additional decoration; rather, it is embedded in the fabrication of each object, awaiting its activation by light. In these works, light can be considered as an internalised philosophical approach to making art through which the essence of colour is positioned as the central concern of the work.
