Angela Hayes — 'Lights Through Lifting Fog #5' Sculptural Vessel

$1,550
This handmade ceramic piece originates from a body of work which focused on the study of the classic pouring vessel. Here, the lip, the body, the foot, the spout, and the handle are evolved contemporary architectonic slab constructed forms. It is watertight to hold exquisite floral display yet departs from purely functional constraints of the vessel to stand alone as a striking sculptural art piece.

Angela Hayes is a Naarm/Melbourne-based ceramic artist. Her geometric sculptures reference classic pouring vessels. The lip, the body, the foot, and the handle have evolved from wheel thrown vessels to contemporary slab-made architectonic forms. Hayes studied Fine Art (Ceramics) at Queensland College of Art and has completed both a Bachelor and Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Melbourne.
