Raphy
Raphy — 'Flying Amongst the Stars' Ceramic Planter, 2026
This planter-vase features a sculptural mosaic relief created using techniques developed during Raphy's residency at the Chicago Mosaic School, where they studied under master mosaicist Verdiano Marzi. Regarded as a pioneer in the evolution of mosaic as a contemporary art form, Marzi’s influence is evident in the work’s dynamic surface and sculptural presence. Raphy has drawn on these methods for this work as a tribute to both the transformative experience of studying with Marzi and the sense of possibility his practice inspires.
