Kaye Poulton

Kaye Poulton — Tall 'Angula' Sculptural Vessel

$490
This thrown tall Angular Form has a spacey technological feel with its sharp, angular edges. It is made from a hand mixed selection of clays and glazed with oxidation shino giving it a spotty matte surface. It will contain liquid.

Kaye Poulton is a ceramicist who lives and works in the outskirts of Mooroopna, Yorta Yorta Land. Her work is influenced by the surrounding land and vegetation with pieces made predominately on the wheel. She hand mixes different clays and uses a soft matte glaze to achieve a stony smooth surface, often speckled or mottled adding a rich depth to each piece.

Poulton has received major awards through Ceramics Victoria, the Melbourne Teapot Show and has been short listed in the Clunes Ceramic Award four times. Her work is held in private and public collections including Shepparton Art Museum. She has been making ceramics for over 40 years and has completed a Certificate of Fine Art in Ceramics at Bendigo TAFE College, 1987.
