A diminutive golden fish, endemic to Tasmania's highland lakes. This endangered fish has been rendered in soft golden leather with a hand forged sterling silver pin.

Gabbee Stolp is a visual artist and contemporary jeweller based in Wulawali/New Norfolk, Lutruwita/Tasmania. Gabbee uses found natural/materials such as shells and stones, in combination with shimmering textiles like metallic leather and velvet. Gabbee learnt to sew from her mother and grandmother and utilises the act of hand sewing as a symbol of gentle nurture. In combining textiles with natural materials, her works demonstrate care and consideration of the importance of nature and place.
