These are my Dinawan dindilay mawang (emus walking together). Dinawan dindilay mawang is a series of individually handmade earrings with 100% reclaimed/recycled sterling silver ear hooks. Emu feathers are woven into the outer rim of the hoop, softening the design of these earrings.

Ange Jeffery is a Wiradjuri mixed media artist and jeweller living on Gulidjan Country/
Southwest Victoria. Ange’s values are represented in her work and preference for using responsibly sourced materials, including collected and recycled natural and manmade items. Her work combines her culture with contemporary techniques and objects. She is inspired by creating pieces that push societal expectations of Aboriginal art. Learning skills and techniques through her Indigenous community, she also studied Ceramics at Tafe in Dubbo. Jeffery was shortlisted for the Midsumma Australia Post Art Award 2022.and has been a participant in the inaugural Blak Design program through the Koorie Heritage Trust.

Material:  recycled sterling silver, raffia and emu feathers.
