The processes and techniques of twisting, stamping and embellishing result in Tara's hand-formed, one-off pieces. Inspired from her surrounding environment, Tara's aesthetic is influenced by many varied sources: texture, colour, or simply the physical properties of the materials she works with. Her high attention to detail sees her create pieces of simplistic beauty, which belie their considered design approach to functionality and wearability.
Tara completed the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Jewellery) at Northern Metropolitan Institute of TAFE in 2008. She has since worked from a studio in Brunswick, producing commercial ranges, private commissions and exhibition pieces.
