Melbourne based textile artist Beck Jobson works over many mediums, drawing inspiration from ancient textile traditions, sci-fi, mythology, architecture and fashion. Her work is characterised by bold colour, manual construction, and direct mark making processes that include loom weaving, block printing, hand painting and resist dying. Beck manipulates locally sourced fibres in her experimental ‘textile laboratory’ into small batch collections and one-off wearable artefacts.
