{"product_id":"remy-pajaczkowski-russell-ochre-drip-ceramic-side-table-2025","title":"Remy Pajaczkowski-Russell — 'Ochre Drip' Ceramic Side Table, 2025","description":"\u003cstyle\u003e\na {\n    text-decoration: none;\n    color: #464feb;\n}\ntr th, tr td {\n    border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;\n}\ntr th {\n    background-color: #f5f5f5;\n}\n\u003c\/style\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis work from Remy Pajaczkowski-Russell forms part of a body of work exploring ceramic materials as the mechanism to create unique and bespoke furniture.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this piece I aim synthesise traditional ceramic practices with the sensibility and ambition of contemporary design.   I've tried to reimagine how we view ceramic as a material for tiling and domestic ware and transform it into a piece of furniture. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis side table is made on the wheel, before being fired and finished in multiple layers of glaze made from recycled woodash and ochre.  Central to my practice is sustainability, and I regularly reuse materials destined for landfill in my glaze and clay making.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOchre Drip is the result of years of experimentation and play in the studio, exploring how we interpret ceramics in the domestic space as well as how far these materials can be pushed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003e— \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eRemy is an artist working on Gadigal land.  His practice spans craft, art and design but is centered around material exploration as a way to explore contemporary object making and its relationship to human histories and practices.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eAfter an introduction to ceramics at the National Art School, Remy then completed an apprenticeship in a traditional French potters village, before going on to work in Barcelona at a world leading ceramic design studio.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eCurrently, Remy produces domestic ware, furniture and sculpture that recycle waste materials from found his urban surroundings.
