Pennie Jagiello is an Australian artist known for working with recycled materials. Her work has always been influenced by the ocean; its powerful and enduring mystique both terrifying and fascinating.
The unmatched beauty of its life force, displays qualities both glorious and sensitive. Her jewellery is mostly constructed with with discarded telephone wire cables, however she has recently been investigating beach debris, objects and materials washed up on beach. She is concerned with the longevity of a material and uses only recycled and reusable materials.
Pennie is currently completing her PhD at RMIT, specifically investigating the use of debris as a precious and wearable material.
