Minna Graham
Minna Graham — Angular Mug with Faceted Handle in Charcoal
Minna Graham is a ceramic artist who works in functional and sculptural stoneware tableware. Based in Daylesford, Victoria, the forms and textures of her ceramic work draw upon the charred, blackened wood and earth, mud and teeming water, moss, leaves and bark she encounters in the varied landscapes she has encountered across Australia. Minna is interested in the relationship between humanity and nature as one of both peace and tension. This is often expressed through the presence of both balance and precarity in the stacking of her forms, as well as her use of contrasting textures and surfaces.
Minna has obtained a Diploma of Ceramics from University of Ballarat in 2009, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Federation University in 2014, as well as studying under various different ceramicists in both Australia and Japan. She has exhibited her work with Tacit Gallery, Stockroom Kyneton, Federation Square, Craft Victoria and Northcote Pottery. Her work has also been featured in Vogue Living.
