Crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel, this sculptural apparatus reflects and distorts its surroundings, creating a dynamic dialogue between the body, the home, and the viewer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003e—\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eGrounded in a longstanding fascination with metalworking techniques and hands-on experimentation, Michael Gittings’ practice draws on traditions of sculpture, decorative arts and hand fabrication. Responding directly to his materials and environment, he works intuitively to create three-dimensional forms that explore the expressive, structural and tactile potential of industrial and artisanal processes.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eWorking across sculpture, public art and collectible design, Gittings exhibits internationally and has had works acquired and commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria.
