Training originally in France and the Netherlands, and with a Masters Degree from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Melbourne based potter Lucile Sciallano has a diverse practice. As one half of the duo Alterfact, Sciallano is known for creating and building one of the first 3D ceramic printers in Victoria. The resulting object based series involves both machine and hand building processes to create unique vessels which bare semblance to woven structures. In her contemporary tableware series, Sciallano uses Australian porcelains and singular glazes to explore patterning and line, creating vessels with life and movement.
