Kaye Poulton — Wheelthrown Stoneware Beaker
Working with clay for over 40 years, Australian ceramicist Kaye Poulton is based in Mooroopna, located on the banks of the Goulburn River opposite the larger town of Shepparton.
This series of wheel thrown stoneware at Craft draws its influence from the landscape surrounding Kaye's studio. Mottled glazes and speckled clays impart a rich depth to each piece.
Kaye teaches ceramics in the Goulburn Valley, at the Shepparton Art Museum and in Primary Schools. Receiving major awards through Ceramics Victoria, Melbourne Teapot Show, Kaye's work is held in private and public collections, including Shepparton Art Museum.
Materials: glazed stoneware
*Please note that each piece is crafted by hand and as such, subtle variations exist in form and glaze between each work.
