Jenny Fahey — Small Green Pod Drop Earrings
Jenny Fahey is a contemporary jeweller based in New South Wales. She holds an Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design (2012) and a Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture (2015) both from Design Centre Enmore, Tafe NSW.
Minimalist forms and the beauty of repetition are sources of inspiration for Jenny Fahey who has been designing and making since 1998. Working mostly with 3D-printed SLS nylon and sterling silver in her pieces, she employs computer-aided drawing, hand painting, and traditional craft techniques when creating. As well as running her own practice, Jenny has been an active member of her local contemporary jewellery community curated a number of group exhibitions in the contemporary jewellery field.
The Pod series is inspired by Australian native plants and are made using 3D printing techniques. Each is lightweight and made from sls nylon, before being hand painted in several layers with a mix of acrylic paints and powdered pigments to create unique colours.
