Handmade by Melbourne based ceramic artist Janetta Kerr-Grant who makes both functional and non functional work where sculptural form melds with richly worked surfaces. She often works within series to fully explore a particular concept. Her tactile ceramics aim to instill an elemental simplicity.
Janetta's tableware references the pattern, texture and materiality of domestic textiles across a range of related platters, plates, and bowls. Her exhibition work explores a 'sense of place', specifically the intersection of rural and urban landscapes.
