Kirsten Perry has a background in industrial design, gold & silversmithing and multimedia and is currently teaching at RMIT. Anthropomorphism and character design feature heavily in her work, and the small scale of her production allows her to explore variations on similar concepts. Known for exploring tensions between error, chance and humour through crafted sculpture and digital media, Perry's practice is a diverse one. Where culturally errors are discarded or covered over, Perry's work challenges this aesthetic, highlighting and exaggerating them — especially through her use of humour and contemporary text language.

Perry holds a Bachelor of Arts(Fine Art) Gold & Silversmithing with First Class Honours from RMIT. Exhibitions includes but are not limited to Bad Hair Day (2014, Mr Kitly Gallery, Brunswick, VIC); Ahhh (2013, Craft Victoria Window, Melbourne, VIC); I’m Revolting (2012, Creatures of Comfort, Los Angeles, USA); Stevie Dreams (2012, Lowrise Projects, Richmond, Melbourne, VIC); Home Time (2012, Craft Victoria Gallery, Melbourne, VIC).
