Georgina Proud — Drip Vessel with Sea Glass
A stacked vessel with a tapered neck opening towards the top and featuring various intentional holes. The vessel is finished in a striking experimental glaze.
Georgina Proud is a ceramic artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her practice focuses on materiality, creating experimental ceramic vessels with inclusions of glass and other found materials. Her work investigates how these materials react to the ceramic and firing processes, combining them with a variety of high fired clay bodies and glazes. She works primarily with wheel-thrown forms exploring methods of collage and assemblage to create distinct sculptural vessels.
Proud completed a Shiro Oni Residency in Onishi, Japan, 2019.
