Working primarily with earthenware clay, her practice transforms recognisable references into playful, tactile ceramic objects. Fiona Lewis' ceramic practice explores nostalgia, memory and popular culture, with a particular interest in the role film and television play in shaping personal and collective experience. Her work considers how seemingly ordinary objects can become loaded with meaning through their association with particular characters, scenes or moments in time.

Through humour, sentimentality and a playful approach to form, Lewis examines the relationship between screen culture, memory and the objects we attach meaning to. By translating fleeting on-screen imagery into physical objects, her work gives permanence to the visual fragments that linger with us long after viewing.

—

Materials: Crackle Glazed Earthenware

Dimensions: 32 x 22.5 x 2cm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0033/5002/files/062_Craft_Visionaries_Product_2_2026_C_Armstrong.jpg?v=1793253596
