Beginning with a collection of cross-stitched embroidered jewellery in 2011, calling upon her roots and very recognisable hand-drawn style of textile design, and now adding ceramics and glazing to her bow, the multi-disciplinarian Esther Sandler creates under her label Togetherness Design.
Esther’s style of inky line work, saturated colours and rich layering is widely recognisable from her work for local Australian labels such as Gorman and Limedrop, and international brands such as Mecca. Her signature hand drawn visual language features on the pouches and purses carried here at Craft. Detailing such as bespoke leather tassels distinguish her products with a special finish, and utility is presented with humour and charm, as Esther’s prints emblazon textile surfaces.
All products are designed, printed and made here in Melbourne.
