Dianne is a Melbourne based ceramicist with a studio in the leafy northern suburb of St Helena. Through her ceramics, Dianne explores notions of elemental nature in combination with ancient and original wood-fired ceramics of Japan. Originally studying ceramics for a year in Japan as an exchange student, Dianne’s Japanese influenced aesthetic emerges from her delicate wheel thrown functional ware. Recent botanical designs and motifs have emerged from her years as a Botanist and Research Scientist.
