Charmain completed a Bachelor of Applied Art at the College of Fine Arts, Sydney. She then moved to Adelaide to be part of the Jam Factory Contemporary Craft and Design Centre, where she completed the two year Ceramics Associateship program, followed by some years as a studio tenant. She now works from home, occasionally distracted by the chickens scratching in the garden where they ought not. The Star Flower range sprang from her need to make idiosyncratic, but highly functional domestic-ware. Objects that can be used every day, cradled comfortably in your hand and lightly touch your lips. Then easily washed, dried and put away.
