Bin Dixon-Ward — 'Long Pop Lantern' 3D Printed Earrings
Award-winning contemporary Australian jeweller Bin Dixon-Ward studied Arts and Arts Managment at La Trobe and Deakin respectively before beginning a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT in 2012. Having recently concluded her PhD at RMIT, Bin is the recipient of the Diana Morgan Postgraduate and Honours Gold & Silversmithing Prize (2016), the Itami Award, Museum of Art and Craft, Itami, Japan (2013), the Don Begbie Award for Excellence in Gold and Silversmithing (2012) alongside countless others.
Known for her precision craftsmanship and considered use of colour and gradient in her work, Bin's pieces are held in countless public and private collections. Working primarily with 3D printing, these forms are coloured by hand.
