Barbara Rogers is a Textile Artist based in Sydney. Her work focuses on Japanese Shibori resist-dyeing, incorporating innovative techniques together with traditional methods. Using simple geometric shapes, she creates contrast between dyed and undyed areas of the cloth and then overdyes them in other colours to produce highly complex textiles.
Rogers has exhibited nationally and internationally and participated in the last six World Shibori Symposia. Her works are in numerous private and public collections. Rogers studied Dress Design at the National Art School as well as participating in various study trips and workshops.
