Aurelia Yeomans — Sterling Silver 'Asymmetrical Water Frequency' Earrings
Aurelia’s jewellery is informed by a fascination with metamorphosis, phenomena, and the mysteries of the elements existing in the natural world.
Inspired by raw geologic forms, intricate crystalline structures, and the exquisite geometries of nature – Aurelia’s works elegantly unveil stories of the earth. Through a conceptual and considered design language, her pieces celebrate the unique characteristics of natural material such as coloured and included diamonds and precious gems, together with her unorthodox and distinctive approach to enameling steel that has won her international recognition.
Aurelia’s work has been exhibited extensively in Australia, Europe, and the USA. She has undertaken formal training in goldsmithing and design in Germany, as well as completing a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in Gold and Silversmithing at RMIT University, Melbourne. In 2016 she was chosen as a finalist in the Alliages Award (Lille, France) as well as the 2017 Mari Funaki Award for Contemporary Jewellery (Melbourne). Her work has been acquired for public collection by the Alliages Association (France) and in 2018 Aurelia worked on a significant commission completing her first major collection for the National Gallery of Victoria.
