Adriana is a ceramic artist working from a studio near Mt Dandenong - Melbourne. Her training began in 1980 when she majored in Ceramics at Prahran College, as part of her Diploma of Art & Design. Adriana’s work is predominantly wheel thrown, functional ware, with highly decorative finishes.
The bird series 'motif' has evolved over many years and changes slightly with each new body of work. Influenced by traditional artisans from the past and inspired by intricate details of design found in ancient textiles and the fine line work of early print makers, her pieces reflect these influences with free flowing lines in distinctive contemporary designs.
