Originally completing a Bachelor of Fine Art, Wendy jumped into the exciting world of fashion and advertising – initially as a model before side-stepping into a career as a highly regarded photographic stylist, creating images for over 20 years in advertising, editorial print work, TV commercials, and various other presentations.
Wendy is a visual storyteller, and her own recently released textile collection, Taxidi, showcases her own photographic images from her travels around Australia and the Mediterranean. The word 'Taxidi' translates as 'Trip' in Greek, as in the popular expression 'Kalo Taxidi' meaning 'Have a great trip!'.
Designed and made in Australia, Wendy’s luxurious collection of scarves is produced in limited editions. Every scarf is digitally printed on a fine Italian modal cashmere, and is hand-finished with rolled edges and eyelash fringing. Each one is named after the destination where the image was taken, or after the species in the case of her Australian eucalypt series.
