The work draws inspiration from the Japanese term Takotsubo cardiomyopathy — translated as “broken heart syndrome”—which informs my 'Deep in my Heart' Collection. This body of work reflects on grief and the fragility of the human spirit, using the vessel as both container and metaphor for emotion. The vessel can be used as a functional or sculptural piece.
