Jane McKenzie — 'Folly 4' Terracotta Sculpture
Jane McKenzie is based in Castlemaine and makes ceramic sculptures that are influenced by her architectural career. Graduating from the National Art School in Sydney with a Masters of Fine Art degree in 2018, McKenzie was a finalist in the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize in 2019 and won the Muswellbrook Art Prize (Ceramics) in 2015. Her sculptures have been included in group and solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
McKenzie uses slab-building techniques, preferring a restricted colour palette that emphasises form over surface finish. Her work is represented in the Collections of the National Art School and Muswellbrook Regional Art Centre, as well as various private collections.
Dimensions: 21.5cm x 22cm x 12cm
Please note that this work is part of Craft's current exhibition Inside and will be available for collection at the close of the exhibition on February 01, 2021.
