Two Lines Studio — Throne, 2022

Monolothic is an immersive installation featuring smart, modular furniture pieces alongside sculptural objects. Each piece is carefully crafted out of a passion and appreciation for skilled tradesmanship and influenced by contemporary architectural design. (Prototype intended to be a seat, this is not yet fully reinforced but new commissions can be.)

Striking a chord between functionality and statement art, Geelong-based Two Lines Studio blends the conventions of sculpture and structure. Crafted out of a passion and appreciation for skilled tradesmanship and architectural design, founding director Kirby Bourke, brings to the fold his 13 years’ experience in metal fabrication as well as a Bachelor of Design (Architecture).  

The studio has established itself with a distinct and recognisable aesthetic, pairing metal fabrication techniques with bold, minimalist and often playful design.
