Yuro Cuchor

Yuro Cuchor – 'RAZ', 2023

$8,500

The working title of this exhibition was “Modern Amphora” and I simply followed the title. From the beginning the idea was very clear, to create an elaborate and “over the top” object by combining different materials and challenging my skills at the same time.

Yuro Cuchor was born in Slovakia where he studied Ceramics & Stone Restoration and established his own pottery. In 2006 Yuro migrated to Australia and later studied Visual Art at the South Australian School of Art - University of South Australia, majoring in Painting & Sculpture.

In 2017 he started to collaborate with the JamFactory and between 2019-2020 he had his ceramic studio there. At the present he is based at 215MAGILL Studio Adelaide.
